These works, measuring eight by five and a half inches, are very small versions, mini-snapshots, of what occurs on a much greater scale in my large paintings.\u00a0In these drawings the biomorphic forms are ambushed by the random interference of abstract anomalous elements\u2014an opposing structure in the swim of the continuum. This led me to emphasize the propulsive purposiveness of the bio-forms to persist, as it were, in their own being.
