The Black and White Paintings

In these large paintings the extreme conflation of the images, derived from nature, extend in dense overlapping planes across the surface of the picture, and outward toward the viewer. Virtually eliminated, space appears to have been occluded in an impacted, spreading frieze of entangled overgrowth.
